Grant Funding for SMEs

Much of the grant funding that was sourced through the government was culled overnight at the back end of 2015 with little or no warning. This left SMEs who had started making funding applications in a difficult position and many had to curtail their expansion plans.

Certain funding came back on stream in mid-June for the West Midlands area however we are finding that the rules have tightened up considerably.

Firstly, the funders now require that any job creation pledges that are included in the application are evidenced after seven months.

In order to access the funding businesses are required to submit a tender specification.

Finally, if businesses are looking to access more than £50,000 then they must be able to provide two years audited accounts. Most SMEs have fallen out of the auditing net and so they may wish to consider electing to have their accounts audited voluntarily in order to be able to access larger amount of grant money.

Whatever your businesses circumstances we are happy to looking at funding opportunities on your behalf and to see if this is a viable way for you to access money to help your business grow.
