Wales ERF Sector Specific Support (ERFSSS)
Who is it aimed at?
• Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure businesses or supply chain companies.
Eligible businesses?
• Must be materially impacted by greater than 60% of their turnover due to the pandemic.
• Employing staff via PAYE.
• VAT registered or exempt from VAT with a turnover above £85,000 or a limited company with a turnover above £50,000.
• If the business fits the ERFSSS criteria a claim can still be made even if that business has accessed the ERF Restrictions Business Fund.
What is the nature of the support?
• For a single employee business – minimum grant of £2,500.
• SMEs (up to 10 employees) - £1,500 per employee.
• SMEs (10 - 249 employees) – The lower of £1,500 per employee or self-declared operating costs during the restricted period. Upper limit £100,000.
• Large businesses (250+ employees) - £500 per employee up to a maximum of £150,000.
Application process?
• A triage tool will be available on the Business Wales website by 11th December 2020 to check eligibility.
• The fund will open to applications on 11th January 2021.
• SMEs will be able to make an online application.
• Large businesses will need to make a manual application via the Wales Government Sector team.
